What is the B-CU Day of Giving?

B-CU Day of Giving is an annual event that generates support for student success at Bethune-Cookman University.

 How will my gift be used?

Your gift will be used to support the fund or program you designate. Whether you choose scholarships, academics, athletics, student organizations, alumni initiatives, or another area of need, your contribution will directly benefit that program and help advance Bethune-Cookman University's mission.

Why should I share?

When you share the Day of Giving event over various social media platforms, generosity on this day is multiplied. Those who donate provide ongoing resources that are key to the success of the college and our students. Whether you support scholarships, academics, athletics, or campus improvements, your support makes a real difference.

What other ways can I get involved? 

Become an Ambassador! Spread the word with the event flyer, photos, or messages on social media. Share your stories and images using the hashtag #BCUgives to help spread the word! 

Can anyone participate in the Day of Giving?

 

Absolutely. Support from the community and beyond is what makes our University a phenomenal place!

Are there opportunities to give recurring gifts after The Day of Giving ends? 

B-CU has generous supporters who give monthly or have given for more than two consecutive years.

How can I participate in the Chairman’s Challenge?

You can make a gift of $1,000 here on the website, or make a recurring gift of $83.34/month via this link.

I don't see my Alumni Chapter, Fraternity/Sorority, Alumni Athletics Group, Student Organization, or Class Year under Gift Designations. What should I do?

Alumni Chapters, Fraternities/Sororities, Alumni Athletics Groups, Student Organizations and Class Years are not listed as Gift Designations. To make your gift, first select the fund or program you would like to support. Later in the donation form, you will have the opportunity to select your Alumni Chapter, Fraternity/Sorority, Alumni Athletics Group, Student Organization and Class Year. This ensures your gift is credited to all of your affiliated groups for Day of Giving participation, challenges, and leaderboard recognition.

Can I make a recurring gift during Day of Giving?

The Day of Giving website does not currently support recurring gifts. If you would like to set up a recurring monthly or annual gift, please use our online donation form via this link.

Is my gift safe and secure?

Yes. B-CU takes significant measures to ensure that all data and donor information is safe and secure. If you're at all concerned you can call our office at 386-481-2950 or email us at Advancement@cookman.edu.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Contributions to the B-CU's Day of Giving are deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes to the extent that the IRS will allow it. No goods or services were received in exchange for your gift. Please consult your tax advisor concerning the deductibility of any donations.
