In Memory of Gerald (Jerry) B. Fincke
July 22, 1937 - November 6, 2024
Jerry Fincke passed away at age 87 after living a full life personally, professionally, and politically. As the son of a minister, scholarships played an important role in Jerry accessing higher education and ultimately earning three degrees.
While living in Daytona Beach, Jerry had a relationship with Bethune-Cookman University, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU). He chaired the 2007 Bethune-Cookman/United Negro College Fund campaign, setting a new fundraising record at that time, and was Assistant to the President and adjunct political science professor in 2009-2010.
